- Sensitive client information should not be placed in an assignment unless it is necessary and approved for that audience.
- Portal capabilities vary by plan and configured permissions. Inactive contractors have no Portal access or new operational activity.

Can contractors see every client and assignment?
No. Access is intended to be limited to the records your organization authorizes for that contractor.
Can contractors update their own documents?
Active contractors included in your subscription can submit permitted profile and document information, subject to your review process.
Does a contractor count toward our subscription during onboarding?
Yes. Add the contractor to your subscription before the invitation, profile or document collection, uploads, or any Portal access. The same contractor then has access to the later work features included in your plan; they do not count as an additional contractor when onboarding ends.
What changes when a contractor becomes Inactive?
Portal access ends and new operational activity stops. The previously Active record remains available internally in read-only form without counting toward your purchased contractor capacity. Reactivation uses the original record and requires available contractor capacity in your subscription.
