From issuance to identification

Your company issues it.
Your contractor prints it.

  1. 01

    Approve and issue

Your company approves the identifying details and issues the badge.

  2. 02

    Print or display

The contractor opens My Badge in the Contractor Portal to download, print, or display it.

  3. 03

    Scan and check

A client scans the QR code to check the current badge status and compare the photo with the person.

Contractors can print another copy whenever needed. A printed PDF can be placed in a badge holder, while the digital version stays available in their Contractor Portal.

What the QR code does

A printed badge.
A current status check.

The QR code is part of the badge, so it appears on both the printed copy and the digital version. Scanning it opens the badge’s verification page.

The paper stays the same after expiration or revocation. The verification page shows that the badge is no longer valid.

The scan shows approved identifying details and badge status. Private contractor documents remain restricted.

Valid

The issued badge is currently valid. Compare the name and photo with the person.

Expired

The badge has reached its expiration date and is no longer valid.

Revoked

Your company has invalidated the badge. Replacing a lost badge also invalidates its old QR code.

Questions answered

Contractor ID Badge questions

Can contractors print their own badges?

Yes. After your company approves and issues a badge, the contractor can download its PDF and print a copy from My Badge in the Contractor Portal. They can also display the approved badge on their phone.

What does scanning the QR code show?

The verification page shows the approved identifying details, including the photo, name, and issuing company, together with the current badge status. Private documents remain restricted. A valid badge does not by itself confirm authorization for an assignment or that every compliance requirement has been met.

What happens if a badge is lost or revoked?

Your company can revoke the badge. Replacing a lost badge creates a new QR code and invalidates the old one. The paper copy does not change, but scanning the old code shows that it is no longer valid.

What happens when a contractor becomes Inactive?

Deactivating a contractor invalidates their badges and ends Contractor Portal access. Records and badge history for previously Active contractors remain available internally in read-only form. Reactivation requires available contractor capacity in your subscription and uses the original contractor record.
